The prestigious Almorah Hotel was built around 1841 and is a listed building of great importance. It is situated in an elevated position above the town of St Helier with magnificent views over the town and its interesting harbour filled with a mixture of fishing boats and private yachts. The hotel had a very inviting and friendly atmosphere thanks to the owners Silvina and Carlos and their fantastic staff. The breakfast was always fresh and delicious. Our rooms were very clean and the hotel itself was very well maintained and modern throughout. The location was perfect, a short walk or bus ride from the city.

The rooms were comfortable, and the owner was very kind. She served the breakfast herself with patient humor for two travelers who were just starting out on their next big adventure. We even came back to stay one more night at the end of our adventure.

The bedrooms at De L'Etang all have an en suite bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. They also feature a flat-screen TV and some of them have sea views. All the staff we so friendly,nothing was to much trouble. Special shout out to Hasim, who went above and beyond for us . Our evening meal was fantastic, I can see why so many locals and tourists alike dine with them for food . The hotel view from our room was amazing . Would 100% stay here again .

On the south coast of St Helier, just across the road from St Aubin’s Bay, this guest house offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Guests can relax in the spacious lounge or out on the sun terrace in warmer weather. The friendly staff. Spotless cleaning. I felt very comfortable and made me feel like home. Had my son staying with me and everyone was so kind. Location is good. Bus just outside and the sea in front as you cross the road. Perfect!! Highly recommended.
