The room was so beautiful. Amazing bed. Amazing and spacious bathroom. Everything clean. Reception staff was very kind and helpful. Housekeeping was leaving us chocolate bars every day. Great environment overall and very close to some convenience stores, pubs, restaurants and bus stops. In just 20 mins you can be in the scenic downtown of the fairytale like Edinburgh. Recommended.

The property has an old world charm with new modern features. It is very clean and incredibly comfortable. There was a lovely tea/coffee station and decanter of sherry in our room. The absolute best parts were interacting with Ollie the manager who makes you feel like part of the family and the fantastic breakfasts (definitely try the porridge with whisky, honey, and cream). It’s a short walk to the heart of the old town but far enough removed to be quiet and peaceful. I will always try to stay here when back in Edinburgh.

Chris and Sinead were incredible hosts and made us feel at home from check-in. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.

I East Calder, bare 15 kilometer fra Forth Bridge og 16 kilometer fra Murrayfield Stadium ligger Ashcroft Farmhouse. The complete experience was amazing. It was sad that I couldn't meet Elizabeth due to personal issues, but her daughter was excellent, and they gave me a non-required compensation for the breakfast. I strongly recommend this lovely place to stay in their Scotland vacations.
