Situated in Padang and only 1.1 km from Air Manis Beach, The view padang, Amazing view, 8 mins Mentawai fast ferry, cold beer, close to restaurants features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and... It is all about location, location, location. The view is exceptional. Room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Nice bed. Robert was a great host and super helpful. The homestay is still relatively new, but he's been in the area for years and knows it very well. Took a one day tour with him and a few other guests. It was fantastic. Things, culture, people, and places I never would have found otherwise. Wish I could have stayed longer.

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HOUSE - Trekking & Transport Only Book With Us is set in Bukit Lawang and has a pool with a view and river views. Alek the owner is an amazing host, he really takes care of you. The jungle 2 day jungle trek he arranged was amazing too. The accommodation in right in the middle of the town and close to everything. The rooms are good and the bed is super comfy. All in all, I had an amazing stay here.

With mountain views, Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa is situated in Bukit Lawang and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area. - Les habitacions tenen mosquiteres a les finestres i al llit, que realment van molt bé. - L’esmorzar estava molt bo i la noia que el preparava i servia va ser molt simpàtica, tot i que el vem trobar bastant car comparat amb la resta dels esmorzars que hem estat fent (tenen menús d’esmorzar per 80.000 i si demanes per carta la mitjana dels plats valen 40-50.000).

Let me stay in a slightly more expensive room inside without paying the difference and got a ride back to the guesthouse from the city center at night. I wasn’t there for long but definitely felt it was a good deal for the price. It is pretty far from the center of butik lawang. You can walk it in 20min or get a tuktuk for 30rp. The walk is nice. You get to see another side to the area.

The Kupu Kupu garden guest house is in a beautiful location with very friendly staff especially Arif who made us feel at home and welcome straight away! we enjoyed our stay so much that we booked in for longer because we didn’t want to leave! the facilities were all perfect and the whole place was very clean, we honestly didn’t want to leave! we would of spent longer there if our stay in Sumatra wasn’t so short. We definitely recommend this accommodation for anyone else and will definitely be back!
