The place is pretty, well maintained, and clean. Nice vibe to chill. All the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I appreciate the guide for a quick intro to the town, restaurants, and surf spots. I also appreciate the board with upcoming events around. Makai is at a ~6 min walk from the main street and in front of a bus stop in this main street, convenient to go to downtown or surf spots. Even more convenient if you have a motorbike. Some of the restaurants nearby are good so you can just walk to get good food. Would recommend!

This is hospitality akin to a five star resort. We booked last minute due to our original accommodations having been flooded due to heavy rains. Mr. Ajith waited up for us late at night, welcomed us into his home so we can have a late dinner, and brought us lemon juice straight from his lemon tree. He prepared a delicious multi-course breakfast, helped us with our bags, and communicated with our tuk tuk driver so they knew where we were going. We really felt so special being a guest at the Tide’s Tale and wished we could have stayed longer. The room is simple, but exceptionally clean. Plus the bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Ajith. You’ve warmed our hearts!

Our stay was great. The family running it is wonderful! They invited us to be part of their Sinhalese New Year celebrations. Their daughter are so sweet. Their breakfast is delicious!

The housekeeping was really friendly and thorough. The A/C was very modern and worked really well. Also the kitchen was quite good equipped.

Sea View Villa truly feels like heaven on earth, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that.

The property was great tucked away in nature only a short Tuktuk ride into town. We were looked after really well by all the staff and the breakfast was a great start to the day.

We enjoyed a lot this place. Booked 3 nights there but decided to stay for 2 more. Wonderful place with very beautiful and clean seashore just several meters from the hotel. Waves are high at that time of the year. We liked that it was a couple of km from Hikkaduwa, away from crowds of people, a place to relax and to have a quiet stay. At the same time there was a shop 2 minutes walk and a place to eat, and the Turtle beach, where there were no waves and it's possible to swim, was at 20 minutes walk (many people there). Room was tidy with beautiful and was cleaned every day! Swimming pool was also very clean. Staff is very hospitable and attentive to the needs, always was eager to help and answer lots of questions:) Tasty breakfast. There was an access to drinking water 24/7

Alvas house se nachází v Hikkaduwě a poskytuje zahradu, nekuřácké ubytování, bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách a terasu. Jen 100 metrů odtud je Pláž Narigama Beach. Susanna and Tusharo (please excuse me if I’m misspelling the names :) were wonderful hosts. Welcoming and informative. It really felt like our own house. Spotless clean, equipped with everything a traveler needs, beautiful nature around, a garden well kept. Another great thing is the hosts really care about animals and Tusharo shared fascinating information about the connection local people share with the sea turtles (we got lucky and swam with them). The beach has some great surf. Would love to come back and stay more.
