Aia ja järvevaatega Lake Front Yala Safari asub Kataragamas, Tissa Wewast ja Situlpawwast 18 km kaugusel. Rõduga majutusasutuses on tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

White Square Home-stay asub Wellawayas, Buduruwagala templist 12 km ja Ella kaljult 27 km kaugusel. Majutusruumides on istumisnurk. Majutusasutusest avaneb vaade mägedele ja aiale. The hosts were amazing. So welcoming to our family and open. We had the most incredible dinner and breakfast cooked by them and shared with the two families. We learnt a lot about Sri Lankan culture and would highly recommend other people to stay.

Everything was as described. The house surrounded by a beautiful garden. Staff very helpful. They prepared the meals we wanted and organized activities in the area.

Mayka luksuslik puhkemaja on hea koht, kus veeta muretu puhkus Tanamalwilas. Külalistemaja on ümbritsetud aiavaatega. Majutusasutusel on aed, terrass ja parkla. Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

Even though hotel is located by the Ella-Wellawaya road, the location is very calm. Construction wasn't done in some parts of the facility. But the available rooms were at good standard. Good value to your money.

Jõevaatega Forest Tree Top Holiday Resort asub Buttalas, 36 km kaugusel Kataragama templist ja 37 km kaugusel Buduruwagala templist. Kohapeal on restoran, tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Bhatiya and his family are excellent, such good hosts and serve amazing food. We stayed with them for one night on their 20 acre fruit farm and had such a good time. Bhati offered to pick us up from Buttala, then we got to their place around midday. This gave us time for a delicious lunch, followed by a walking tour of the farm to see the crops and all the surrounding nature, and a sunset drive to some local lakes to see some excellent bird life. You get to sleep in an open sided building on the first floor, and feel really in touch with nature listening to the sounds of the night. Next day, Bhati took us on a safari in his own safari jeep to Yala (Galge entrance) for a fair price. He was such a knowledgeable guide, we saw loads of animals and had a great time (including amazing food again for breakfast and lunch). While we weren't lucky enough to see a leopard on this occasion, we were on the trail of the alarm calls for one but it went deeper into the bush. We really appreciated going to the part of Yala that we did - while it's harder to spot leopards using the Galge entrance than the more popular entrances further south, we valued being one of 10-15 vehicles we saw that day, instead of one of 100-200 that often enter the more popular blocks. All in all, an amazing experience, and a definite highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka.

Aiavaate ja rõduga Ethili Lake view & Safari Camp asub umbes 47 km kaugusel Demodara Üheksa kaare sillast. Terrassiga majutusasutuses on tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Peaceful and quiet in the middle of the forest. Wild animals all around. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Service and people were fantastic.

Boasting garden views, Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර) features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 45 km from Buduruwagala Temple. An amazing place and man. If you want to climb a nearby peak, walk through the jungle, try wild pepper, cinnamon and other plants Michael will make it possible for you. He took us on an amazing trek, which we could experience thanks to him. As for the accommodation, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. The bed has a mosquito net, but I did not notice any mosquitoes in the evening (unusual). Michael is talkative, you can ask him about everything and he is very keen to show you what is best in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend staying with him.
