The owners are very kind and excellent chefs, their fried rice, pumpkin curry and vege jungle fern were the best I’ve ever eaten. They are the most welcoming hosts I’ve ever met in Malaysia. Staying in their homestay was the highlight of the Gunung Mulu National Park.

Located in Damai, Nanga Damai Homestay features a garden and terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge and a bar. It's a paradise. Very nice garden and very friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast. Hosts drive you to where you want to be. Very clean.

They make the difference. Nice homestay, simple, feels like home. We used the kitchen and enjoyed the breakfast (10 myr). We appreciated that they made vegan breakfast for us. Brenda is a tour guide. We enjoyed her Deer cave tour. It was very interesting. A must to see and do with her.

Location right in front of the airport which is super convenient as the only flights happen around noon and it does not bother at any time. The national park is at a walking distance. Owners are very nice and available to assist with food or transportation. Fortunately they were very accommodating with breakfast and dinner with our inconvenient schedules The place is clean and ample. At night with the fan is more than perfect for sleeping, we did not have any issues with insects nor noises.

The staff were nice and always ready to help. The toilet was clean, which is something I always look for. The room was comfortable, and everything inside was well-maintained. It had all the basics I needed for a hassle-free stay. Would definitely come back!

The breakfast was fantastic. The host family was very welcoming and friendly. She went out of her way to make a special delicacy for my daughter (who learnt how to weave 'ketupat') They personally took us on a tour to see longhouses, and we had a delicious local lunch provided. Lovely rainforest living environment, clean accommodation, well-working aircon.
