We were a bit skeptical about the location because we wanted to stay in the centre of Ilheus. But turned out to be a great location, close to the night life of bars and restaurants. It might look a little dodgy in the beginning but we felt safe walking around, even at night. The beach nearby "praia da Concha" was a great option for a swim close by.
