Fab views, easy access to 508 and 555 bus. Nice social areas, good meals, filling breakfast.Great location to access the Eastern and Far Eastern Fells for day hikes. the 508 is every 2 hours. No one snored, miracle!!

Check-in wasn't until a few hours after we arrived in Keswick but they were great and let us leave our bags so we could go and get lunch. We had a family room which was great - all the kids had their own beds and loved the bunk beds. The room was clean and while we didn't have an ensuite, the bathroom and toilets weren't far away at all. It was great having the cafe downstairs (complete with small interesting things such as games and walk information) for an easy and really well-priced breakfast. I also liked that you could pay for towel hire. There's a stream right next to the YHA and a playground so really useful when you've got kids who need to burn off energy. And if you stay there over a weekend, there's a kids parkrun which takes place every Sunday at 9am.

Located in Nether Wasdale, YHA Wasdale Hall is a 15-minute walk from Wasdale and has facilities like garden, shared lounge and bar.
