Palace Rome Hostel is one of the most affordable options in Rome that still offers a private bathroom and a location not too far from the city center. In terms of value for money, it truly exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and clearly well-maintained, with housekeeping visibly keeping everything tidy. The bathroom came stocked with shower gel and soap, the bed was very comfortable, and the towels were soft and freshly laundered. The air conditioning worked well, and the free Wi-Fi was stable throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English. The 24-hour reception gave the place more of a hotel-like feel, which I really appreciated. Reaching the city center took around 35–40 minutes. The bus stop is about a 5-minute walk from the hostel, with frequent buses heading to the last stop of Metro Line B. The area itself is quiet and felt very safe, even at night. If you don’t feel like waiting for the night bus, you can easily get back from the city using one of the many scooter-sharing services. All in all, a great choice if you're looking for comfort and convenience on a budget in Rome!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
