If you are looking for rest, this is the perfect place. In his hostel, Jiro San offers decent places, games rooms, a very well-equipped kitchen, as well as a sauna hand made by the owner. It would be easy to stay there for a long time and the hostel owner was super helpful and provided heaps of information on the area and recommendations on things to do! Super cheap for what we got! Would highly recommend.

There is an onsen which you can use privately as long as no one else is using it at the time. The manager is awesome, he offers you a lift to the station when you checkout which we greatly appreciated. There are some bikes you can rent for free, but make sure you ask early. The staff were friendly and relaxed, even gave me a lift to the station at the end of my stay. I also borrowed a bike from them to ride around the city and had some lovely views of the sunset over the lake. Everythung was clean and tidy with very nice and strong AC! The “rain shower” is awesome. The hotel actively discourages overuse of single-use products such as amenity items.
