Every aspect of the property has been curated by its owner to provide a cohesive celebration of mid-century furniture but in a minimalist/traditional Japanese setting. Each object has so obviously been carefully selected to reflect the owner's exquisite personal taste. There was a gentle calm pervading what is a very special place.

The decor of the guesthouse is super cool. It was all done by the owner by hand! The sleeping area is small but practical and comes with all necessities, plug, light, fan. There is also a coffee and fridge etc for food The owners are really friendly and helped me out so much when I fell ill when staying at the guesthouse. They made me feel so welcome and they were so kind and hospitable There are also 2 bicycles you can use for free

Very cheap stay in Kumamoto The staff were ridiculously friendly and helpful The check in machine was easy to use The parking onsite was great and you pay at the same machine you use to check in on. Amenities were offered if you forgot anything as well as free coffee. Good location for a few restaurants around the area

The position is definitely the best for youth hostel. Just cross the bridge can reach the Kumamoto station. The public facilities are clean.

Very helpful staff and accommodating at check-in! Plentiful parking and a good central location - although it's not well connected by public transport. Nearby convenience stores to grab food options, and overall a cheap stay in Kumamoto!

it’s not a hotel , it’s a poor excuse for a youth hostel, felt like a prison , signs all over saying be quiet . No ceilings in the sleep areas . not sound proof at all , heard zipper suitcase in next room. no separation between sexes.

Great location with close access to 2 tram stations and surrounded by walking streets. buffet breakfast has a large variety of selection and safety measures diligently conducted (everyone is given plastic gloves to use when picking food). The once-a-day bus to Takachiho Gorge also stop at the Main Street bus stop opposite hotel.

Very good experience, the hostel is perfect if you want to stay in Beppu and meet new people. The bar area at the ground floor is perfect to drink a beer with other guests, and it's also possible to have dinner and breakfast (at a very good price). The owners are really nice, it's a pleasure to stay with them. I definitely recommend it!
