This hostel was a great choice! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was also ideal, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. Close to train station to board the public bus to alishan, possible to reach with a wheeled luggage, some sections along a quieter road after all the turkey rice shops. Abit of walk to wenhua st night market but safe at night by walking along the main road. Comfortable bed with clean sheets. That my neighbours tolerated abit of coughing since I caught the flu before the day of arrival in taiwan (thank you) Thank you to the lady behind the desk, manning the counter during my stay. I do not remember her name but she is one of those that contributes to taiwan friendly culture, the reason why visitors keep coming back :)

Great hostel, great place, good value

Light Hostel is located only a 10-minute walk from Chiayi Railway Station. It provides a convenient transportation, having two bus stations close to Hostel, and a 24-hour market nearby.
