What a great stay I had here, I enjoyed so much talking with Bob, he's very friendly and always worried about his guests, he even cook blueberries waffles! The place is perfect, beautiful house, he makes sure that you have everything you need. The location is great too, maybe 7 min walking from the bus stop. If I'm coming back to Calgary I'll definitely stay there again!

Location in the mountain, making hiking so easy. Scenes of snowcapped mountains and the running Bow River . Cool n clean mountain air. Very warm staff at the front desk, in the restaurant.

Boasting Rocky Mountain views, HI-Banff Alpine Centre offers a café and a bar. Free WiFi and self catering kitchens are available for guests to use. Banff town centre is 4 minutes' drive away. It has all the amenities you need like kitchen, common room, cafe, laundry. Rooms and kitchen was clean. Location is good, not far from Banff market and they also give you free bus pass. There were many activities planned for a week. All in all the best hostel I stayed in Canada.

The hostel is well-run by Lars, who gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. The 12-bed dorms are actually split into two parts with 6 beds each which provided a more private and quiet experience than expected. With no electricity, no phone reception, and only 1 hour wifi per day, the hostel forces you to disconnect and instead enjoy the nature, the sauna, and each others' company. With only around 20km to Lake Louise, it is the ideal base for exploring some of the highlights in Banff.
