The View is a very special place. It has definitely been my favourite hostel in recent months. This was mainly due to the wonderful people who make you feel at home. You get the feeling of being part of the family, of being integrated and getting to know each other, but also of being able to retreat and relax in complete peace and quiet by the pool or on the beautiful roof terrace with a view over Cali. The food is prepared with a lot of love and is excellent. There are also all kinds of spa facilities and even a small gym. I worked online, the internet was great and there were plenty of opportunities to work in peace. The kitchen is also perfectly equipped (there's even an airfryer!). The Parque de los Perros is just a few minutes away and offers many opportunities to go out and eat delicious food. Topa Tolondra is also only a few minutes away by taxi. I also highly recommend the salsa lessons with Miguel! He is an incredible dancer and I learnt a lot! I was always happy and the staff cares a lot about everyone. I was warmly welcomed and got to know wonderful people, for which I am very grateful! I would highly recommend the stay to anyone and am already looking forward to my next visit to Cali, which I will spend in the View without hesitation! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I moved to La Palmera from another Cali hostel and I’m so glad I did! The staff are lovely and super helpful and the hostel has a cozy, family vibe. It’s easy to socialise and there are planned activities every day and evening that you can opt into so you can go places as a group which is safer.

The staff was sooo nice and kind. The rooms super clean and well equipped and it’s situated in the best location of Cali. Objekt Helena Hostel nalazi se u gradu 'Cali'. Ma 1,7 km od znamenitosti Kazalište Jorge Isaacs i 18 min hoda od znamenitosti Panamerički park, a sadrži zajednički salon i terasu. Elena the owner is amazing. She is not nice and great to be around becuase of "customer service", although of course she delivers this exceptionally. She is just in fact a genuinly great person that also loves nice interaccións and to meet good people too. Personally, the things I look for most when travelling is to connect with local people and so by staying here this is the thing that I have most liked. The Location is excellent for learning to salsa and if you treat Elena and her home with respect, you are treated with the same and it becomes your home too.

Very quiet and tranquil. The rooftop is awesome. They kept the kitchen and common bathrooms very clean. They have an English copy of Lonely Planet Colombia, so helpful! Having a private hammock in the room is super nice.

The room was very spacious with a really nice modern design. It had a very big window at the end with a nice view of the garden, with a hammock, a table and seats and lots of plants.
