Look - Oban is rather small town so everything is close. But Youth Hostel is just a street from the bay water. The view from the social rooms is beautiful. The staff is helpful, chatty and caring! On the ground floor you have plenty of space to sit/eat/cook or read a book because there are also separate social rooms. In the room I had a sink with mirror, separate shower (large one!) and separate toilet with a sink. Plenty of facilities for the morning routine. There are lockers if you need some. Beds and sheet are clean and comfy.

We were the only customers in the hostel, so it was really quiet. The main room was really comfy, and the watchtower near Inveraray was really nice. The castle is really nice too.
