In Edinburgh’s Old Town, Castle Rock Hostel - Adults Only is conveniently located 11 minutes’ walk from Waverley Train Station, and 3 minutes from Grassmarket and Edinburgh Castle. O had a very pleasant stay for a night and even if it was my first staying in a hostel and it was a mixed dormitory, I felt very safe and slept comfortable. Couldn't fit my carry-on luggage in the deposit but it was fine i had a lock

Beds could have been more confortable but it was all fine. Nothing to worry about shared bathrooms, they were perfectly cleaned. You can even make friends while staying. Fully recommended.
