The best thing is that you can book a tour to Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen there. The tour was an amazing experience, it was much cheaper than other similar tours and our driver a great guy - he made sure we had everything we needed and was always ready to help.

Staff were amazing, they gave us tea and snacks even though we hung around until late on the check out day, plus they sorted pickup for our next trip which we had not booked through them. Accommodation was cheap and convenient, 10 min walk from the port and 2 from the train station.

We had a great stay in the Shelter Hostel. Staff was very welcoming and prepared very good breakfast. Our private double room was also very clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was big and clean as well. The location is great too, in walking distance from the train station. The hostel also offers lunch and dinner, we had dinner once and it was delicious. I would definitely come back!

This is a fantastic hostel and experience. It is basic and outside of town center, but that makes it way better than other options (you don't want to stay in Malang center). Beds are comfy and private. Included breakfast is hearty healthy and delicious. They arrange all the tours (Bromo, Sewu, etc) at great comparative rates. Best of all, the hosts are phenomenal!.. Helpful, happy, engaging, and will do whatever it takes to make your stay and experience in the area as awesome as possible. Highly recommend staying here!
