Staff was great, I felt like it was a decent place to meet other backpackers. Quiet location and comfortable rooms :)

LyLo Auckland Hotel er þægilega staðsett í miðbæ Auckland, í innan við 2,9 km fjarlægð frá Masefield-ströndinni og 3 km frá Hamilton Beach Reserve. Really good place to stay. It is clean, cosy and practical. They organised different events so you can meet people. The staff is very sweet and helpful. Also our room was clean, nice and had everything we needed.

Nice, calm location right next to the beach, other parts of island easily reachable by bus. Everything you need, dorm was spatious and not crammed.

Kitchen was fully stocked and well organized. Loved the outdoor dining area. The AirPort Express bus was 2 blocks away. And it’s in the heart of the central business district.

I like the location as it is surrounded by eating and drinking establishments. The manager moved me to a bottom bunk for my second night, which I greatly appreciated. There is a well equipped large kitchen and a common room and plenty of showers and toilets. As with other New Zealand hostels, nothing is free. I am used to hostels always having coffee and sugar available but not in this country. They should know that it is a standard around the world to have that amenity.

Set in refurbished historic building just across from Sky Tower, Surf ‘N’ Snow Hostel offers budget accommodation in Auckland CBD (Central Business District). It’s really well located and the staff here is nice. Definitely worthy for its price and service.
