Best hostel I've stayed in by far, and I've been to many. Ryan and Katia are the friendliest most generous hosts you'll ever meet. The location is lovely next to the river, very relaxing atmosphere, we even did a bonfire at night near the river with wood that Ryan provided which was a very wholesome experience, I was solo traveling but felt like I knew everyone for longer, because of the energy of the place. Katia also gave me fresh vegetables from her garden, and gave us a lift when she realized we're late for our visit to vintgare gorge (15 mins walk from the hostel). The breakfast was nice as well. Beds were comfortable and the guests staying there were also considerate and not noisy at night (that depends on luck I guess). You're not booking a hostel only at this place, you're booking an experience.

Alot of thought and effort has gone into the execution of creating this place. Located a short distance from Bovec, I was welcomed with an easy check in and clear instructions of parking my vehicle. Facilities were kept clean through the whole stay, beds and dorms were comfortable and loved the privacy curtain. A fully equipped kitchen and social area space to utilize and a very cute outdoor area was out the back which could be enjoyed even when it was pouring down with rain. Thanks for an awesome stay even though the weather wasn’t on my side when I stayed.

I love this place!!! Such a welcoming and warm place. It felt like a home! Well, it used to her grandma's home... Definitely not a "traditional hostel". It has a small capacity ; there are a couple of dorms and a couple of (double) rooms. Katja, the owner, is very friendly and gave me great recommendations for dining and sight-seeing. It's also a pet-friendly place. A couple of nights some guestrs had their dogs and Katja left dog treats for them on the breakfast table! Such a lovely gesture! Breakfast had several options. Fresh bread every morning! Katja also makes her own yogurt, which she serves for breakfast. They provide free towels (that's extra points for a hostel) and there are even shampoos and shower gels for guests. Very clean place, too!
