Welcome to MIMIs Lakeside Apartment - freshly renovated in 2025, located just 50 metres from Lake Traunsee and right in the heart of Gmunden. There are numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets, pharmacies and much more in the immediate vicinity. The Grünberg with its idyllic hiking trails and treetop path is within walking distance - perfect for summer and winter holidaymakers alike.
The stylish flat has a bedroom, a cosy living room with smart TV (Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video), a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge-freezer as well as a modern bathroom with hairdryer, towels, washing machine and dryer. Free Wi-Fi is also available.
Check-in is possible around the clock thanks to a code. Luggage can also be stored securely after check-out on request. There is a public underground car park just 30 metres away and paid parking spaces are available directly in front of the hotel.

Lake Traunsee is the centrepiece of Gmunden - ideal for walking, swimming or simply enjoying the view. The picturesque esplanade invites you to linger with cafés and boat hire right by the water.
2. Ort Castle
The historic Ort Castle is picturesquely situated in the lake and can be reached via a wooden footbridge. It is one of the most famous photo motifs in Upper Austria and offers not only history but also a restaurant with a view of the water.
3. Grünberg cable car & treetop walk
The cable car takes you up the Grünberg in just a few minutes - at the top there are wonderful hiking trails, a summer toboggan run and the impressive treetop walk with a viewing tower overlooking Lake Traunsee and the Alpine foothills.
4. ceramic town of Gmunden & Gmundner Keramik Manufaktur
Gmunden is known for its traditional ceramics with the green ‘flame decoration’. In the Gmundner Keramik Manufaktur you can watch how the famous pieces are made - a great experience for art and craft enthusiasts.
