Overlooking gardens, this Victorian house is just a mile (1.6 km) from the centre of Edinburgh. Originally built in 1860 and retaining many original features, Duthus Lodge is now a family-run guest house with free Wi-Fi. All rooms have flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. A continental breakfast is offered at the property and vegetarian options are available. The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) and Edinburgh Castle are within easy reach, while Murrayfield Stadium is nearby. There is a regular bus service into the city.
