The Conegliano area, in the heart of Prosecco Superiore, is rich in history, culture and natural beauty. The Cathedral, founded as Santa Maria dei Battuti in the 14th century, is the city's main church and is closely linked to the Scuola dei Battuti, forming a Renaissance complex that preserves paintings and frescoes. Palazzo Sarcinelli, a Renaissance building, houses the Art Gallery and organises major exhibitions and cultural events. The Scuola Enologica di Conegliano, founded in 1876, is the first institute dedicated to the study of oenology, located in the Prosecco Superiore production area. It currently accommodates over 1200 students and hosts the Conegliano Campus of the University of Padua, with courses in Viticulture Science and Technology. To discover the history of coffee, you can visit the Dersut Coffee Museum. The Conegliano Castle, dating back to the 12th century, is the medieval heart of the city.
