Company information

Hi! My name is Satako, I am the owner. My husband and I run this ryokan. I have learned Cha-do (the tea ceremony) and Ikebana(flower arrangement)for many years, we make the atmosphere of our ryokan more traditional, more relaxing. I am the Kyoto Hospitality Concierge appointed by Kyoto-city, I can introduce you the tourist information to help your travel more efficiently and better understanding of Kyoto history and culture. I hope you have a great stay in our ryokan!

Property information

We are a Japanese traditional inn (ryokan) called MACHIYA architecture, we hope all our guests have a special experience here, like the tea ceremony, Japanese hot bath, and the breakfast with Yukata(loungewear kimono). We hope you come to our place to relax, please have a flexible schedule to have bath and tea ceremony in the evening and enjoy your stay at our ryokan. We are placed the north west area in Kyoto city, there is a Geisha street named Kamishichiken nearby, it’s the oldest Geisha street in Kyoto. Kitano tenmangu shrine 10mins, Nijo castle 20mins by foot, and good transportation to Kinkakuji temple, bamboo forest, etc… Our ryokan is an old wooden house (140 years old), we cannot prevent the sound from outside traffic or the other room perfectly. If you have any sleeping problems, we are afraid our place is not comfortable for you, please think again about your booking. Thank you for your understanding. We all staff are looking forward to seeing you and will serve you our utmost!
