Traveling is for us always part of this journey of discovery of exotic and remote cultures. Our focus on design and all its diverse variations, whether minimal Scandinavian (Kate is a Norwegian graphic designer) or maximal ornate Islamic (Alaa is an Iraqi architect) makes for the perfect team.

Dar Seffarine is a historic building in the heart of Medieval Medina of Fes, located next to the Quaraouiyine Mosque.
Beyond high walls and a discrete doorway, you will be led through a glowing courtyard, into the ancient palace of Dar Seffarine
The atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility, with only the echoing, mysterious call to prayer penetrating the thick walls.
Standing in the central courtyard open to the sky, you are surrounded by soaring columns, richly decorated with carved plasterwork.
The impressive four meter high doors on the surrounding salons are made of cedar, painted with intricate geometric designs. On the floor is a mix of traditional 'zellij' mosaic and marble.
The simple, tasteful furnishing allows the grandeur of the architecture to take central stage.
Each room has been carefully restored to its former glory. They all feature their original zellij (mosaic tiling) floors and cedar wood ceilings, as well as the original old windows and doors.
It is now one of the best examples of a traditional building in World Herritage listed in Fez.
