Hi i love the outdoors, worked as a mechanic for several years before working in the renovation and restoration industry.
My interests cover Mtbing, Tramping/Climbing, Swimming, Motorcycling, more recently photography. With so much beauty! outdoors it's hard to stay indoors.
Near-by local restaurants for a meal, or a local club for a quiet beer and to meet some locals, then Forgotten World Adventures to ride the old railway tracks, Raft the Tongariro, Canoe down the Whanganui river (multi day options), Have lunch at the Lavender farm, Mtb the Old Coach Trail, 42nd Traverse or many other trails, Walk the Tongariro crossing, Silica rapids loop or many other Sub alpine and alpine walks. Don't forget a Camera, and of course pack appropriately. Walk our local river trails or take a day trip to enjoy the nearby attractions other villages have to offer.
Skiing is available up the mountain during the winter months.
Tramping/Climbing is available year round weather dependent.
