Book a historical walking tour at the Visitor Center to learn the town's deep history. You will also find many local dining options to choose from. In the winter, you can ski or snowboard at the family-friendly Tahoe Donner Ski Resort, which is only seven and a half miles up north and offers many outdoor activities. Gather around the dining table to enjoy a meal prepared in the kitchen equipped with what you need. Go out on the enclosed deck to take in the open views of the trees and lake while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee, or maybe host a tasty cookout using the gas grill available.
