Your room, complete with a private bath and a luxuriously comfortable bed, offers a peaceful retreat. We reside within the house and are here to greet our guests with a warm and welcoming spirit. The guest rooms with attached bath are separated from the main house and each has it's own secure private entrance. Our commitment to maintaining the authenticity of this historic residence means that some elements are as old as the house itself, boasting a rich history of over 130 years. While you'll certainly enjoy modern conveniences like running water, electricity, heating, and air conditioning, we invite our guests to immerse themselves in the charm and sophistication of a bygone era. We have lived in this historic home since 2020. John was born and raised in Texas, Ursula is from the Rheinland, Germany. We both work from home. There are several highly trained guard cats on the property, keeping everyone safe from snakes. We have never seen one here. Like Ireland... We don't have any mice either. The cats are Rudi, who has lived here longer than we have; Mortiz, Rudi's shy niece; Jake, of the famed duo Jake & Ellwood (Sadly, Ellwood left us a few months ago); Lucy, who looks like a small lion, Sissy, who does a good impersonation of a skunk with her black & white fur; and Black Tear, who has a rather distinct facial marking.
