Out of the hustle and bustle.Close to bars and restaurants. Regular buses nearby go into Salzburg every 20 mins. Buses take between 12 and 40 mins, depending on which one you catch. Very kind and helpful proprietors. Accessible by bus. At the intersection of two swift creeks which create amazing "music" during storms/high flows that lulls you to sleep if you leave your window open a crack. Very roomy for a family of four (third bedroom sleeping an extra two is nice enough but very low ceiling and floor-level beds). Kind and responsive host. We met the owner’s dog, who joined us for the delicious dinner on the main level. Bus stop is right across the street, ride #21 for less than 30 minutes and you’ll be in Old Town Salzburg. We had dinner at the restaurant: enjoyed a goulash (with homemade bread 🤤) and the classic schnitzel with fried potatoes and mushroom stew. The hosts treated us to a delicious dessert. The pension is located in a beautiful area with a lovely view and the bus to Salzburg is really close by. The centre of Grodig has a couple of really nice places to eat and grab a drink.
