Quiet and lovely atmosphere in a small village. Very beautiful place. The room was clean and smelled nice. There was a universal plug in the bathroom drawer. And a mosquito killer plug in the wardrobe. Kettle and coffee maker with cups were in the hall. But there are only 5-6 rooms so no problem. The staff were wearing local clothes which were very lovely.

Located opposite the train station in the peaceful town of Giswil, Hotel Bahnhof is just a 20-minute walk from Lake Sarnen. It features a restaurant and a large garden. Great location hotel is right next to the river. From our balcony, we have the river and the Mountain View. Great parking available. breakfast was typical European breakfast. It was good enough for us.

The Gasthaus Paxmontana is centrally located in Flüeli-Ranft and offers panoramic views over the Sarner Lake, the Oberwald mountains and the Melch valley. Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Highly recommended. Do not hesitate staying here. Be aware this hotel is not situated in the main hotel (the prices are higher there) and in the guest house instead, which is a short walk from this hotel. You have to walk across a bridge like structure, to access the main building, for buffet breakfast/restaurant/facilities. The buffet breakfast was incredible. Very friendly staff.
