Being fully immersed in the jungle is such an experience! Monkeys came to visit, saw so many animals/birds. Food was so so good! The organic chocolate has no match… just heavenly! Loved the bioluminescence excursion at night. Wonderful people at the facility. Really enjoyed it a lot!

Guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine, a shower, free toiletries and a desk. At the inn each room comes with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, and a balcony with a city view. The attention to detail and way the rooms and hotel grounds were carefully curated was so unique and beautiful. You could tell a lot of time and effort goes into making sure guests have a unique experience, and I surely did as part of my stay. The location was perfect and easy to get to the main island and other islands within Bocas - not to mention the views over the water were insanely beautiful. The breakfast options in the morning were terrific and all the staff were so helpful and thorough in their duties . The owners were amazing and helped with suggestions on activities, transportation, and overall everything that you needed to know to have a great experience. They were super friendly and helpful, and they made my experience so much better by being just really good people. I’ve already recommended Casa Aquario to friends and family, and I look to go back again in the future. 10 out of 10 experience.

This lovely place is located on the island of Bastimentos, less than 15 minutes away from the main island by speed boat. It has great views of the ocean from any of the cabinas! I had the best view from my private cabina with a private bathroom. I loved the abundance of fruit trees available (starfruit, banana 🍌, coconut 🥥).
My cabina was spacious, and I love having windows 🪟; there were 3 in my cabina, and one was over the bed that opened completely to the freshness of nature.
Simon is very nice and welcoming. He helped me tremendously when I needed a little cash until I got back to the mainland. He was attentive to other requested needs of fixing the plumbing and cleaning the kitchen when I suggested it.
Simon suggested I visit Playa Estrella by bus, which was very affordable ($5 round trip). It was a lovely day spent there, and I saw 6 starfish. I ate the best meal of the five nights I spent in Bocas - the best red snapper of my life, and I could actually taste the coconut milk in the Caribbean rice & beans with a nice fresh salad 😋 from the first restaurant after you exit the bus 🚌.
I love Florindo, the maintenance guy! He was very helpful to me with whatever I needed.
If you see a Jamaican lady (Chi-chi) selling Plantain tarte from her porch, you should try some. She's kept her grandmother's original recipe, and it's been the best I've ever eaten. She only makes them a couple of times a week, so get it when you see her.
Also, there's an Indian woman who you may find sitting at the bridge near the Jamaican's home selling coco bread; it is also delicious 😋. I wished I'd bought the entire pack.

The food is incredible. Between $12 and $18 for family style dinner. The brownie was soooo tasty. Room was lovely and peaceful. The pool area gives slight love island vibes - crappy music and lots of young people tensing. Staff were incredibly helpful and it's such a gorgeous view.
Excellent location with diving within minutes of the hotel. Attentive staff taking care of many requests and last minute needs. Food was excellent for all sittings breakfast lunch and dinner.
food is great but spenny pool family dinners lovely stay easy to get water taxi to other islands
Lovely simple rustic vibe, the hammocks and tables in the common deck were lovely, kitchen was clean and well stocked, staff were helpful
- Surrounding nature is beautiful: We loved the beach and the jungle around. We even were lucky enough to spot a sloth on the premises - Location: It's located outside of the usual over-touristy spots and has its own small beach with turtles and rays - Dinner: Was good, we loved the idea of different themes every night - Cocktails: Very tasty! - Staff: Nico and the volunteers were nice and friendly
Staff are incredible place is more like a resort than a hostel. Good food and pool. Activities and family dinners every night really clean toilets and showers
Nice place if you would like to experience some jungle housing. There are a lot of young cool travellers and packbackers, if you like to meet new people from all over the world this is the place to go! Every night there is a family dinner with other guests. A lil bit different experience than in usual accommodations. We liked it! Food was good and the pool was nice! Very beautiful views! It’s quite close to Bocas Town, easy to travel with water taxi.
Beautiful place. We could borrow paddleboards and kayaks. Delicious dinner. Good breakfast. Chic French stylish
Fabienne and Benoit were great. Their property is a bit off the beaten path which makes it a very quiet and relaxing stay - exactly what we had been looking for. The food was amazing - we had Breakfast and Dinner every day in the hotel because it's hard to find higher quality food in Bocas than what they are offering. Hoping to be back soon.
