Experience the epitome of convenience at Mary MacKillop Place. Ideally situated in the heart of North Sydney, a short train journey from Sydney’s city centre.

Much better than a soulless hotel!
Make the time to look around the precinct- the chapel where Mary McKillop is buried is right there, & a charming gift shop & cafe. Nice gardens and historic buildings.
Very comfortable, well-appointed rooms.
Very good buffet breakfast included in the price (everything except bacon & eggs). Lovely little details, like scissors provided to help open the weet box packets, & chocolate to sprinkle on the cappuccino from the coffee machine.
Extremely convenient to public transport and the city.
Delighted at having found this place; we now stay here whenever we come to the city. Highly recommended!

The staff are lovely, they included a note and voucher for a drink at the bar for my birthday celebration. The rooms are a good size, great storage options. Very quiet and comfortable bed. Love the rooftop bar- a hidden gem and oasis in the middle of the city!
Featuring a casino, a day spa and 20 bars and restaurants, The Darling at The Star is just 650 metres from Cockle Bay.

We loved the space we had. Also enjoyed the swimming pool and bath tub. Location wise, pretty close to Fish Market and other spots. Helpful to have a convenience store and multiple food options right next door.

We always enjoy a walk across the bridge.
We always enjoy a walk across the bridge. Easy to access via public transport. Catch the train to Milsons Point. Climb stairs to bridge walk and enjoy the views as you cross. Descend into the Rocks shopping area and walk around to Circular Quay.

Nice view of the city including Centrepoint tower and the harbour bridge. On-site parking made things so much easier. The room was spacious and everything was clean and tidy.
This Hostel’s location near Kings Cross made exploring easy. Loved the clean rooms, friendly staff, tasty meals, and I even had a Harbour Bridge view from my room—amazing experience!
The view from the room was amazing. It's close to the station so you can easily take the train, but it's also close to the Harbour Bridge so you can walk across it - it was a great location. The staff were very kind and we had no problems during our stay. Thank you very much.n
On arrival the open feel of the central foyer set the scene for a great stay & confirmed a great choice for 2 night, 2 rooms for a family event. Generous in size rooms even with 2 Qbeds in each. Clean and beds comfortable with soft & firm pillows.
The Restaurant was very good quality & value and accommodating.
The location in The Rocks, Circular Quay, Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House precinct is fantastic with a neat & tidy rooftop area providing the cherry on top!
The ease of travel to reach there, the proximity to our social event, the harbour bridge view from the room and proximity to the buzz of the city were great.
Excellent views of the Harbour Bridge, Barangaroo. Very close to North Sydney train station and North Sydney shops. Overlooks Lavender Bay and Luna Park ferry wharfs.
A grand building, beautifully renovated blending the old and the new. The room allocated was on the 30th floor, with great views of the Botanical Gardens and although not facing the Harbour Bridge or the Opera House, we had partial views of the harbour. Breakfast was also excellent, and very good value given the wide variety of hot and cold food, with melt-in-the-mouth pastries, cheeses and jams.
Not only did Sir Stanford Hotel listen to our request for a high floor they exceeded with the top floor with water views and the Harbour Bridge as we lost our beloved Burmese Cat Tiddles after nearly 21yrs.
This really helped the healing with soooo many positives
Thank you Sir Stanford you “EXCELLED”!!! 💝
The view is fantastic - we could have spent the whole time in the apartment looking out 😆
The location is also excellent - close to train, bus and ferry, or even walking over the Harbour Bridge
Very comfortable beds
Well equipped
