Wonderful boutique hotel! Everything was perfect. Hotel was in a great location, easy walking distance to the station and city centre. Wonderful and helpful staff, stunning little hotel with fantastic attention to detail. Room was beautiful with incredible views, impeccably clean, and the comfiest bed and pillows I have ever experienced in a hotel. Delicious breakfast too. Couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!

The staff were lovely here, so helpful and welcoming. The property had tea making facilities in the room as well as a coffee machine downstairs. The room was comfortable and modern. It is in the nice part of Amsterdam and a 2 minute walk to Anne Frank House (you must book tickets online 3 weeks before). There are lots of nice restaurants within walking distance too and the Saturday markets are a 10-15 minute walk.

Ugh. If you're into Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks and Burger King on every corner you've found your place. Otherwise, honestly, skip it. There's a lot of history here, obviously, but it was lost in the crowds and the clutter. Sad.

Unfortunately all the rooms we booked had damp smell. All rooms were small , we went in a group.
Its a very old , small and basic hotel and very expensive, dont go by pictures on booking.com

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great – only a 15-minute walk to Dam Square. If you come by car, they offer valet parking for €45. They pick up your car and bring it back at the time you want the next day. The hotel is just across the canal and has a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!

The location is excellent — you can walk to Dam Square in 2 km or less. There are canal tour boats right in front of the hotel. If you’d like to save a bit, you can get discounted tickets for the Van Gogh Museum or Heineken Experience — about €5 cheaper.

The location was so central to both sides of exploring Amsterdam by foot but in a nice spot away from the noisy hub of everything. Go right for dam square and left floor Anne frank house. The hotel was clean, quiet, air-conditioned and safe for us three girls. Staff lovely, breakfast nice and 24hr coffee/tea facilities a bonus! Would highly recommend.

The location was great. Approx 10/15 min walk into dam square. The number 14 tram stops a few mins walk from the hotel, which we took to and from amsterdam centraal station. The hotel room itself was small but clean and comfortable. The shower was lovely and they provide you with nice hand soap and body wash. The staff were really friendly and the lobby/bar area was very nice to chill with a glass of wine or gin. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel and can't comment on that.

Located outside the city center, near the Museum Quarter area, 10-15 mins by tram no 2 from the Centraal Station/Dam Square area. This is a quiet neighborhood yet close to the lively streets of Amsterdam, a short tram ride away. The room had a big window overlooking the street. Staff was helpful.

Visit The Nine Streets 'De Negen Straatjes' for unique boutiques with the odd Abercrombie shop. I love the shoes here, try United Nude-pop up shops scattered around right now. I love De Bijenkorf (The Beehive), the department store by Dam Square for its one step ahead, soon to come homewares trends.

If you take a detour from the main shopping strip leading to Dam Square, there are a number of smaller shops for the more particular shopper. My favourite was what looked like a small musical instrument shop, but turned out to be huge. There was also a retro computer game shop that was a little expensive but had an amazing array of consoles and games.

Stay off the beaten track and away from places like Dam Square and the Red Light District. There are plenty of small cafes and restaurants close to the canals. Look for where the local people go to eat and take recommendations from your hotel. Always worth checking out the restaurants in the Internet before you go and always try to book
