This hotel certainly lives up to the excellent reviews. I could not fault this place. Firstly, the staff are excellent. Ishmael, Murat and Allattin were all lovely. Upon arrival after a very long flight from Sydney, Ishmael took great care of us. Whenver we came back from a big day of sightseeing we were always offered tea or coffee which was a very nice touch. The location is perfect, a short uphill walk to the tram which is only one stop away from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. It is also in easy walking distance as well. Breakfast as as also very good. There is nothing abd I can say about this place! In fact, we ae already planning to come back!

I was last in Istanbul and at the Grand Bazaar 30 years ago, and while I really enjoyed my recent visit to Istanbul - a photogenic, fascinating city - I was disappointed in the Grand Bazaar which was offering the same items as almost every other tourist shopping outlet and street-side shopping stall. Perhaps the prices are lower in the Bazaar to draw the crowds, but I was left feeling that I was seeing ‘more of the same’.
The interior architecture of the building is interesting.

Be prepared for "chaos" this was not an enjoyable experience, I felt that I was consistently being "bullied" into a purchase from anywhere I looked. The market is vast so be prepared to find yourself looking for a familiar exit or entrance. I suggest you go with a guide.

Historical & busy bazar but beautiful bazar with lots of variety of accessories & jewelry. I saw people haggling to get discounts. Very hospitable shopkeepers! We were served with differnt delicious teas like apple tea, ginger tea, & pomegranate tea. Along with dry fruits & deserts. I enjoyed shopping there. Great place to visit! Prces were a bit better in Taksim square area. Must try Amazing deserts at Hafiz Mustafa shops.

Great place to visit and make some deals 🤣.
Great place to visit and make some deals 🤣. Do not dress expensive, unless you are buying expensive pieces of gold. Dress modestly, since the sellers look at you and form their prices accordingly. The first price is always too high, you have to bargain. Put a price lower than your final price and meet in the middle. Always apologize in a way that you do not want to offend him, but you respectfully give him you price. You are often invited to the shop to sit and drink tea, do not feel obliged to buy smtg although you drank the tea. Also, they are presenting you the goods (jackets, coats etc), usually you can not go through the staff by yourself. If you are buying gold, mind the clarity. It's usually 14 K (75% gold), while in other Europan countries it's 24K (99,9%), that's the reason why it seems cheaper...

It was nicer than it looked liked in the YouTube and it was a lot of shops. They had special shops and took you to another place in a closed room. As a lone traveler as a girl I didn’t felt so safe of course but they treated me well. I bought a lot of purses and Tees and souvenirs. The food may be spicy for some Scandinavians but I bought menthol pills. It’s a Muslim country but I didn’t dress so revealing like some countries. I used hoody and pants. No revealing outfits. I think that if women had to cover up, that makes people think how Muslim men are. But they were not sleazy or grabbing me like a pig! They were polite and gave me a lot of compliments wich I’m not used to in my country 🤦🏼♀️

My trip to Istanbul was not enjoyable due to feeling that "all eyes were on me", the grand bazaar was confusing and easy to get lost in, everything looked the same. I felt vulnerable and stayed in the room for the rest of my stay. Thought the staff at the hotel were very helpful.

Kadir [ bellcaptain] Hasan bellboy was very friendly and helpful
The hotel is very central and has all the best amenities like restaurants in the same road. 5 min walk from grand bazaar
Fireda the hotel concierge was very helpful and attended to our requests.
Location very good for tourists easily accessible via taxis and tram. Good food places authentic food nearby to the hotel. The roads to Sulamaniye mosque from the hotel is a great little area for food and coffee shops. Nearby to grand bazaar, easily accessible one stop on the metro from Ordu Cadessi.
Excellent hotel and even great price ! The staff are so lovely. The rooms are clean and look very new and modern.
The location is excellent only a few minutes walk from the main attractions of grand bazaar , blue mosque etc.
Special thanks to Kadir , Murat and the rest of the hotel staff.
If I ever come back to Istanbul I would recommend.
I was at this hotel with a friend on a girl's trip in June and I highly recommend the hotel, the hotel staff and ladies from the restaurant. The reception staff was also very helpful in any situation. Rooms were clean and daily cleaned, hotel decor was beautiful. Everywhere was very close - to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, or the Grand Bazaar and the tram was very close. The breakfast was very tasty. I'm sure we'll be back again. 👌🙂
The location of the hotel is great. Everything was accessible, metro, restaurants.. The Grand Bazaar is like 5mins walk. Blue Mosque is around 10mins by metro. Lots of shops near the hotel also.
The staffs were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was very simple but good enough. The room look just like in the pictures. Quite modern and cute.
I like the location that is near the Grand Bazaar and trams. There are a supermarket and rows of eateries in front of the hotel. Also, the host is very helpful.
I had a pleasant experience at this hotel.
The location is excellent – very close to a tram stop ( a 10-minute walk) and just a short walk from the Grand Bazaar ( a 15-minute walk) which made it easy to get around the city.
The room was comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was okay, enough to start the day off right.
Overall, a good option for those looking for affordable and well-located accommodation in Istanbul.
Fantastic location the hotel is in the heart of historical parts of istanbul 7 minutes to grand bazaar, blue mosque hayia sofia.very close to tram t1.The breakfast was very delicious with local and european plates.Amazing goddess to marmara sea from breakfast. The rooms were cleanning every day the hotel was spotlessly. The receptions were amazing with us very polite helpfull kind especially mr.ahmet Ceyland .

Grand Bazar is just for visiting not for shopping as costs are higher here. The funny thing is that everything is about negotiation in shops or on the streets. You will have a big surprise that the final price you are paying it is with 30% - 50% less. I.e. Turkish yoyo on the street is 5TL but if you offer 2.5 TL you're gone have it :) Good look.

The atmosphere.
The atmosphere. You can find most of these things in other places but not in market places with such heady atmosphere as in Istanbul. It is an experience to spend time in Grand Bazaar even if you buy nothing. Shopping areas in India, my country, are equally interesting but they tend to be dirty and full of traps like potholes and overflowing drains. Istanbul has the atmosphere without these problems. The place we liked most was Arasta Bazaar near the Blue Mosque.
