The Lodge has undergone some major changes since we last stayed and the walk around the lake is beautiful. With beautiful scenery and being located so close to Pemberton, it was perfect. It is set in an idyllic surrounding with trees, gardens, lake and rolling lawns. Being bird watchers we enjoyed sitting on the balcony with our binoculars spotting splendid fairy wrens, ring-necked parrots, silver-eyes, welcome swallows and our first ever bronze pigeon. We have re booked for November, as there are 3 styles of cottages. We booked the limestone cottage, and found a natural stone cottage which we booked for November. Lighting was good and there were curtains beside the windows. Decent sized kitchen with fridge and cutlery provided. Sheltered Porch to park car and outdoor table/ample space to view kangaroos and stars. The restaurant at forest lodge was excellent.
