Perched high on a cliff top overlooking Zermatt, the Edelweiss guest house is the perfect place to experience and see the area. The hike up is a steep climb, but well worth it. A warm welcome, hot shower, tasty food and drink, and cosy rooms. Waking up and having breakfast in the beautiful peaceful location was a real highlight of my trip to Switzerland. The perfect way to escape the noise of the town and see the valley in its full splendour.

Otto, fully stocked up the fridge with food and drinks. The wine fridge was stocked up and had champagne, prosecco, red and white wine. We didn't have to leave the place to go and buy food which saved us a lot of money! I am pescatarian and he provided salmon and fish fillet! There was veg and non veg food stocked up. He has a lot of seasoning too! It is a 15 min walk from Stalden-Saas station, however if Otto is around he will pick you up or drop you off. We came here as we wanted to do a pre-wed photo shoot. The owner has lots of connections including having a helipad on his property. So we did a Zermatt helicopter tour for 1,000 CHF. I would definitely come back with just me and my partner to relax as we were so busy with out photoshoot.

This chalet-style hotel is located in the centre of Zermatt, within 500 metres of Zermatt Train Station and all cable cars. The Weisshorn’s restaurant serves Swiss cuisine and Valais specialities.

Enjoyed our two night stay, lovely warm welcome on arrival. Staff very helpful with information reg area. Good location for Palace Glacier just a short walk up the hill Good location for restaurants and pubs, shared bathroom but not a problem, everywhere lovely and clean
