United StatesThe location was amazing, located in TePopo Gardens, where there were large replicas of wild animals reminiscent of southern Africa throughout the woods. The owners were delightful people, and we enjoyed chatting with them. Our upstairs room overlooked the Gardens (and animals) and served our needs for our one-night stay.

United StatesModern, clean, beautifully decorated among beautiful grounds. Peaceful and relaxing. Comfortable bed. Spa tub was huge but not straightforward to operate. Close to mountain. Wish we had better weather to open doors to garden and see Mt Taranaki. Nice breakfast that you prepare yourself in-room. Super friendly owner.

There is an old New Zealand aesthetic to Stratford which makes the atmosphere really enjoyable. The apartment was clean, staff were respectful, facilities were well equipped (tv, cleaning liquid, towels), close to local shops in Stratford and the Egmont National park. It is one of the most quite, peaceful, nice and comfortable places we have stayed in. The owner is extreemly nice, we were welcomed with 2 hot maffines for our 5 o'clock coffee and when asked, she kindly offered us to wash our laundary using her washing machine.
