Lodges in The Gap

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and peaceful location surrounded by nature. The modern design of the accommodation is great, and we especially enjoyed cooking with Bernardino - his food was always delicious, and he took excellent care of us. We also appreciated having the stand-up paddleboards to explore the area. We really enjoyed our time and would love to come back!

We had a perfect stay at Ataraxia. If you are looking for a quiet, home away from home in a beautiful remote location for down time and with activities only a stone’s throw away, stay here. It’s a tranquil retreat in the jungle where you can eat in their restaurant as if you are dining at home. Yoga deck looking out. Amazing front deck outside our room, which we loved sitting out on every afternoon/evening to read/relax. Comfy bed. Yummy food by chef Nati who is Panamanian. Amazing hosts Manon and Pierre who helped us with everything we needed and were so friendly and the perfect hosts. We had a fun filled time here. Activities every day on every other island. Also they have snorkels and kayaks for free we used. And then ‘home’ for evening time. Heaven. We adored this place.

We had a wonderful time at this place. You are surrounded by jungle. The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay in one of the rooms overlooking the water. Comfortable, clean room, great meals in the attached restaurant and in general a wonderfully relaxing place, as well as an excellent base for exploring Isla Bastimientos. We also made use of the kayaks available for free to guests, which was a very nice bonus.
