Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
This is the best Econo Lodge I have ever been to. The high rating is well deserved. The room was clean, new bathroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast choices. I loved the flowers all around the property. The staff is very proud of their establishment and it shows!
My husband and I spent one night at Econo Lodge Walterboro on a drive north from Florida. This hotel is an excellent value for the money. Unlike many hotels in this price range, this hotel is being maintained. Two good size beds with clean bedding. Microwave and a small refrigerator. Quiet. No carpet, which is always good : ) Pleasant man at check in. Clean lobby. Simple breakfast with a waffle maker; more than adequate for us. I think the word is out that this is a good value hotel, as it seemed full.
