Located high on a rock overlooking Zermatt, Edelweiss Mountain Guest House - 1 hour hike up from Zermatt station - On hiking trail - No transport is a 1.5 hours walk from the town centre up a hiking... The location was breathtaking. Hiking in was definitely worth it. Quite possibly the most remarkable hotel in Switzerland and an unbeatable location to be immersed in the mountains. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, and I felt truly at home during my stay!

Cool structure basically a Swiss chalet of sorts, very helpful staff. Helped me carry my suitcase up and down the stairs. The room was comfortable and had everything needed for a solo traveler.

Lärchenwald Lodge er staðsett í Bellwald í Canton-héraðinu Valais og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Amazing view from balcony and well prepared room. Also we got to eat fresh out-of-chicken eggs, loved it :) Landlord was kind and helpful

Chaeserstatt- Seminar-Lodge-Ausflug býður upp á gæludýravæn gistirými í Ernen. Luftseilbahn Fürgangen-Bellwald er 1,7 km frá gististaðnum. Sumar gistieiningarnar eru með verönd og/eða svalir. A hidden gem. An absolutely beautiful place with amazing people and a 'Michelin Star' chef!

Alpenlodge Kühboden er staðsett í Fiesch og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og flatskjá ásamt því að hægt er að skíða alveg að dyrunum. Amazing views, exceptional staff, great hiking experience.

Hotel Europe is located in the village Zinal, amongst the Swiss Alps and 400 metres from the cable car. Set on 1675 metres above sea level, this hotel offers a hot tub and rooms with a balcony. Friendly staff, whether it's the reception or restaurant at breakfast and dinner. They try to accommodate to our request as much as possible. Spa is new and enjoyable. Hotel guests need to book a time slot to use the spa; bathrobes, slippers and towels are provided. The ski room is great: spacious, neat and with ventilation.

Hotel Alpina er staðsett í friðsæla þorpinu Grimentz, innan Wallis-Alpanna, aðeins 30 metra frá skíðabrekkum og gegnt Grimentz - Zinal-kláfferjunni. Unbeatable location if you are a skiier. As close to a ski in/out hotel one can choose. Assuming the snow conditions are good, you can literally ski to the foot/entrance of the hotel where the ski lockers are located. The ski lockers were also warm and well organized with plenty of storage for the gear and quick/easy access to the rooms. Restaurant and the staff were amazing. Parking availability was also appreciated. Though in busy periods you may be parked in and will have to wait a while to get your car out.

Täschalp Restaurant&Lodge í Täsch býður upp á fjallaútsýni, gistirými, garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar. Zermatt-lestarstöðin er 12 km frá smáhýsinu. Very good value for money. Place has everything you need for a short stay. 3 course dinner after a long hiking day is a very nice guilty pleasure :)
