I recently stayed at Northern Lake Lodge, and it was an unforgettable experience that highly exceeded my expectations.
Located just a couple hours from the hustle and bustle of Cairo, the peaceful setting, with a beautiful view of the desert, calmed me instantly, and my simple yet clean and cozy tent welcomed me each evening with a warm, comfortable bed. The unique decor and attention to detail was lovely and didn't go unoticed.
The meals were delicious, offering fresh, flavorful Egyptian cuisine and dining on the terrace or outside my tent's table, looking at the view was memorable.
The full day desert tour was The Best! I had a once in a lifetime experience with my fabulous Bedouin guide, Walid, who was passionate about sharing the beauty of what Fayoum had to offer. The dreamy landscapes and variety of the desert was unlike any I've seen -- and I've been to many deserts around the world.
Don't forget to look at the sky at night. Truly magical!
The staff, including the owner, Nasr, were exceptional--attentive, welcoming, and they went out of their way to make my stay there memorable. Waheed, the soft and lovable Lodge dog, provided comfort and companionship and made sure I was safe when I went for walks. She was a pleasure to have around. I LOVE her!
If you're looking for a unique and peaceful desert escape, Northern Lake Lodge is the perfect choice. I will be back!

I would say it was a great trip for all ages. We travelled as family of kids,teens, adults, and seniors all enjoyed the place even though it was a bit hot. We took Ringo's recommendation of the safari, and it was outstanding. I would like to thank you for your hospitality

We had four wonderful days here. The place has a nice relaxing vibe. Staff are so friendly. Ragy, the manager, had contacts for different safari tours' activities, which we'd highly recommend (Wadi Alrayan, Magic Lake, etc...). Also, pottery workshop was just around the corner. He arranged rides for us so we didn't have to go through the hassle of dealing with each separately. The food is delicious — would recommend Um Ali for dessert and the oriental breakfast Feteer) in particular.

The view is amazing and also you can do a lot of activities like sand boarding, trip on the lake. It is near the waterfall wadi al rayad. The safari 4D drive to wadi al hitan and magic lake was absolutely fabulous. The guide and driver did a lot of effort. He did also some sand dune bashing with us. The kids loved it.

Amazing staff and property! Mario went above and beyond! We were somehow one of very few guests during our stay and they accommodated an early check in and our choice of room. The food is delicious, the rooms are beautiful and cozy. Mario was always available to answer our million questions and organized a fantastic desert safari for us. Still can’t believe how affordable and wonderful the experience was, this place is a gem!

Beautiful lodge in the centre of Tunis village Good walking distance to shops and restaurants Beautiful interiors and room felt clean Swimming pool was lovely. All meals we ate were delicious, especially the lemonade- ordered it multiple times it was so good! Staff members were all kind and helpful

The lodge is very beautiful and peaceful. The pool was amazing and the staff is very helpful. Also the desert tour to the Magic Lake we booked through Tzila Lodge was amazing! Would definitely recommend!

The cleanliness of the place and facilities plus the welcoming feeling from everyone within the resort. It is very distinct and worth the visit. Assisted us with the safari trip, which was fantastic. Needed more guidance and maybe little tours around Tunis village. But overall was very exceptional and we enjoyed the resort as adults and kids.

Tunis village is a great spot and Tzila lodge is right in the center. The structure is well designed with nice spaces and really beautiful bonfire under the clear starry nights. Asher (receptionist) is very nice guy and organized for us a tour to the desert (wadi hitan is super interesting) and a transfer to Alexandria. Atmosphere is very relaxed and service in the restaurant is a bit slow.. but no worries, we are on holiday!
