The property itself was wonderful, had everything we needed and felt like home. Our trip was focused on taking advantage of Aso's beautiful nature and the cottage's location allowed us to do this. It was also great to know that there was a large bath to use after the hike to soak our tired legs!

Kumamoto Airport is 60 km away. very friendly host who went out of his way to chat with us about our trip & gave us tips for the rest of our time in kyushu. he is very passionate about astronomy and even showed us his observatory. we opted for half board and the food was amazing. rooms were huge and comfy as well.

The house is very nice and very cozy. It is very warm and the place is very beautiful! Even my mum and dad who do not normally say anything was very vocal how much they love the place. The owners were very helpful and very warm people too. Just a note that you cannot go here without a car because it is in the middle of the forest. But renting a car and going here was the best decision we have made for our whole Fukuoka trip!
