From the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved our stay here. If you're looking for a beautiful, eco-friendly retreat created and run by people who genuinely care about the environment, this is the place for you. Fred, the owner, built this Ecolodge himself with a clear mission: to be 100% sustainable. Every aspect of the property reflects that goal—everything is green, circular, and thoughtfully designed. The lodge is impressively clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The rooms are spacious, freshly renovated, and each comes with its own private bathroom. We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Oh, I was almost forgetting, both land and transport are organized by the Fred and Sook Peng and everything went super smooth! Terima kasih Fred and Sook Peng!

Ubytovanie Hawun Valley Kiulu sa nachádza v destinácii Tamparuli 39 km od miesta Filipino Market Sabah a 34 km od miesta Likas City Mosque. Má vlastnú reštauráciu a výhľad na bazén. Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

Set atop a 100 metre hill overlooking the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve, The Last Frontier Boutique Resort is located in Bilit, and is located a 2 hour drive from the beautiful Sandakan. This was a fantastic experience and stay - altogether. The attentiveness of Jason and the staff makes it feel like a 5 star hotel, whilst the location and rustic feel makes it feel like you are truly in the heart of the jungle. You fall asleep to a light breeze and the sounds of the jungle. My wife is pregnant and we were a bit worried about mosquito diseases - but Jason explained that the ridge at which the hotel is at has barely any mosquitoes because of the altitude. He also suggested a non deet mosquito spray that really works. We had 0 mosquito bites during our stay. I can’t get all the things into a review. But such a gem of a place. Thank all of you ❤️

Ubytovanie Bayu Senja Lodge sa nachádza v destinácii Kampong Kundassan a ponúka výhľad na záhradu, bezplatné Wi-Fi a bezplatné súkromné parkovisko. We stayed at this lodge for one night. It's very nice and comfortable lodge especially the room with balcony. It's beyond my expectations. Very clean and tidy room. The toilet is also very clean, shower and heater works properly and great. The view from this lodge is very amazing although mount Kinabalu is not at our side but the view is still very nice and amazing. Overall, Bayu Senja Lodge ( especially the room with balcony ) is very nice, good and comfortable to stay. The management should build more room like this in the future. Once the lodge canteen starts operating, the lodge has become much better place to choose for staying.

Ubytovanie Borneo Jungle Adventure sa nachádza v destinácii Kinabatangan a ponúka bezplatné Wi-Fi, terasu a vybavenie na grilovanie. The staff was excellent Mica and Ten did an excellent job spotting the wildlife and were very knowledgeable answering any questions about the animals in the area. Fantastic experience

Ubytovanie Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Resort sa nachádza v destinácii Sepilok v regióne Sabah a ponúka bezplatné súkromné parkovisko a prístup do vírivky. Really amazing place to stay near all of the sights in Sepilok. I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.

Ubytovanie Nulu View Cabin sa nachádza v destinácii Kampong Kundassan. Na mieste je k dispozícii súkromné parkovisko. Not only was the view from the room amazing, but the lady checking us in and out was so kind and helpful.

Ubytovanie Maglami-lami Water House sa nachádza v destinácii Semporna a má balkón. Každá ubytovacia jednotka má kompletne vybavenú súkromnú kúpeľňu, v ktorej hostia nájdu bidet a papuče. Great view, great food, great location, fun and warm staff (special thanks to Jim , Dana and Liza). Comfortable room with lots of fishes just by snorkeling around the resorts.

Ubytovanie Tampat do Aman sa nachádza v destinácii Kudat 1,7 km od miesta Pláž Bawang Jamal Beach a 2,8 km od miesta Pláž Kalampunian Beach. Amazing place to stay, fantastic owner, close to wonderfull beaches!

Ubytovanie Sabah Tea Resort sa nachádza v destinácii Ranau a má bezplatné Wi-Fi a výhľad na hory. Property is settled in beautiful nature surrounded by tea plantation with direct view to Mount Kinabalu. Challets are extremely good value for money, clean and comfortable. Restaurant offered very tasty food with very good quality at reasonable prices. We stayed there just one night when we were transferring from Kinabalu national park to Sepilok, but it was a great choice. We would wished to spend one day more there to explore the surroundings.
