Room was spacious and clean, ceilings were high. The property grounds were beautiful, such a relaxing environment. Staff was very warm and kind and even had us help ourselves to an early breakfast since we were leaving before the official breakfast serving time. Only stayed a night for the close proximity to Mt Cook but would’ve booked more nights to enjoy the place if we’d known how great it is.

Spectacular views from a spacious terrace with a grill surrounded by a beautiful garden. Jenny (offered her homegrown salat) and Frank ket us feel at home away from home. Thank you.

Located in Kekerengu in the Canterbury region, Coastal Lodge Kekerengu provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Despite claiming only a shared bathroom, our suite had a private bathroom, including shower. I'm not sure if the others did. Lodge has a well equipped full kitchen and good wifi.

Situated in Kurow, Waitaki Braids features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. I was able to park my trike underneath the overhang to keep it out of the rain. Dinner was great.

Located in Twizel in the Canterbury region, SkyScape provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. This property is exactly as described and shown in pictures only better. We loved every minute. The outdoor tub, the night sky with one night even having a slight aurora glow. The Highlander cows who posed for photos. The delicious breakfast that came with the room, the glass bedroom. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners’ mother who stopped to check to make sure we were not lost while out exploring. While the location is a bit remote, that was what we were looking for, and it is a short drive into the town of Twizel and the nearby lavender farm. The Peace Ring was temporarily closed but we could see it from the road. Highly recommend!
