Situated in Stratford, TePopo Gardens Rural Retreat offers accommodation with a terrace or a balcony, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a garden and a shared lounge.
A children's playground and a barbecue are available for guests at the lodge to use.
Breafast came in a basket and there was enough for us to use for both mornings. The bed was very comfy and warm.
The hosts were welcoming and asked if we had all that we needed, which we did. We also had dinner with our hosts, a lovely home cooked meal, during which we spent the time chatting.
We loved the gardens, which was an unexpected surprise as we booked on location, rather than for any other reason.
We have told all our friends about it, and would love to go there again.
Platinum Lodge
Stratford
Platinum Lodge has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Stratford, 45 km from Yarrow Stadium. The accommodation features a spa bath.
The lodge offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. A fridge and toaster are also offered, as well as a kettle.
Really beautiful room with fabulous view of Mount Taranaki. Had seats outside the room on the patio separated from next door with a trellis and shrubs. There was a wonderful jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Breakfast was lovely too, homemade muesli, yoghurt, fruit, bread, crumpets and English muffins. Great location, very quiet and peaceful, but just a few minutes drive to the National Park and great walks. Trish was great too, very friendly and helpful. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely recommend. There were facilities for massages etc, which we didn’t try.
Patuha Rainforest Retreat 4 stars

Amazing location, place is very calm, host were very nice and welcoming.

The suite was well presented, consisting of a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. we were provided 4 super comfortable beds, 1 king and 3 singles which was perfect for our 5-person family. Auto lodge staff were very accommodating considering the last-minute nature of our booking (unexpected) it was handy to all amenities which was great, as it was our first time in New Plymouth.

Second stay at auto lodge with my dog. Room was in desperate need of a refurbish- chipped tiles in bathroom etc, last stay I had a super nice room. However it was clean, comfortable and warm! Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic.

I stayed at Broadway lodge over the Easter weekend and would highly recommend this place. There is an old New Zealand aesthetic to Stratford which makes the atmosphere really enjoyable. The apartment was clean, staff were respectful, facilities were well equipped (tv, cleaning liquid, towels), close to local shops in Stratford and the Egmont National park. Everything was available to make my stay enjoyable, and having a base to adventure in Taranaki was fantastic.

Pukekura Motor Lodge was one of the best accommodation facility that we have stayed in for a very long time. It was exceptionally clean, the facilities were wonderful and the location was superb. We took the time to stop and thank the gentleman who met us at reception. Well done Pukekura Motor Lodge!!

Rooms were really clean and well maintained, bed was comfy. We stayed in a studio apartment and they were located at rear of property and were quiet. The lodge is located on quite a busy street so I am not sure if front units would be affected by road noise which is minimal at night but obvious worker commute and local high schools made it quite busy from 7am onwards.
