Com um terraço para banhos de sol e vistas para a montanha, o The Lazy Dog Inn está situado a 7 km de Huaraz e 3, 650 metros acima do nível do mar. This was perfect for our stay - we wanted some peace and quiet away from Lima where we live, and this was exactly what we wanted. There were other guests who did some amazing trekking too, so there is something for everyone here. I had a lovely horse ride with Wayne, one of the owners. Ideallic. Wayne and his wife Diana, who are Canadian, are wonderful hosts. The food is brilliant, worthy of the best restaurants in Lima (and dinner is included, which we didn't realise and was an amazing bonus). Our cottage had a wood fire too, which made it very cosy.

The first half of our trip was not smooth until we met them... Since the minute we were dropped off from the collectivo after crazy road ride from Yungay and saw welcoming hand wave everything has changed to completely opposite positive side! They've changed the whole mood of our adventure and gave us mental support we needed to finish what we have planned. I cannot describe this couple - you have to meet them! Extremely friendly, smart, fun, unique people who we did not want to leave neither for the night nor next morning! Not to mention their beautiful donkey Benicio that I fell in love with and gorgeous cat that most likely has a "blue blood".
