Newton
Located on Route 206, the Econo Lodge hotel is in the heart of the New Jersey Skylands Region. This hotel is minutes from Mountain Creek ski area, Mountain Creek Waterpark, the Delaware River, Sussex County Community College and Skylands Park baseball field. Rooms were basic but for a Motel really good. They were nice and big so plenty room to store luggage and move about freely without bumping into people or furniture. Air-conditioning was fantastic, and there was a microwave and a good sized fridge to store drinks and some snacks and the staff were extremely helpful. Also an Iron and Ironing board.

My son and I needed an overnight stay and the Sea Girt Lodge met our needs and expectations. We had to go to Sea Girt Beach. It was only 7 minutes away! Would stay again.
Pool was amazing; property is in close proximity to everything we wanted to see and do. Some would say it is dated as it is a “Motor Lodge” but we decided the word “vintage” was more appropriate.
The room was spacious and comfortable, the restroom was easy to use and included body lotion(!), the TV set worked well, and the desk was suitable. The beds were spacious enough and had one firm pillow each. The hot breakfast options were outstanding compared to other hotels I usually lodge in!
We left too early to enjoy the breakfast that was offered. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean, and it was obvious that the owners took pride in their lodge. There were usb plugs on each nightstand for phone charging. The bed was very comfortable and the mattress felt new, not all old and saggy. Our room had a mini fridge which was great for doggie bags from dinner. There were brand new dressers on the walk outside the doors, and when I asked I was told that they were updating the rooms. That's a great sign.

Stayed there after had a bad experience checking into a Wyndham Super 8 hotel remember staying at the Econo Lodge back in the 90s still very nice place right off the boardwalk right next to casino and very nice people that worked at the front desk very nice place. Especially for the price.
The room was peace mael together.the floor flooring under the floor was uneven were it felt like the were extra pieces of wood left under it..the sink didn't drain toilet had problems flushing.the pillows.looked and smelt 10 years old... Econo Lodge should really remove their name from there. I have stayed in numerous econo lodges and never found something as ghetto as this place.
Room was quiet and clean, linens were clean, bed and pillows comfortable, A/C worked fine. There was ice in the lobby and a mini-fridge in the room. Only complaint is I asked for a wake-up call and they did not contact me. Otherwise, very nice lodgings.
The breakfast was excellent it exceeds my expectations. Different varieties & fresh fruits. If I visit NJ again I will love to lodge in here. The location is excellent, I can easily travel between New Jersey & New York. EWR is equally close by. All this make me & my friends enjoy our stay in the hotel.
