Just 3 minutes’ drive from The Square in Palmerston North, Drovers Motor Inn offers self-contained accommodation with flat-screen satellite TV, a DVD player. Very clean and up to date. Not your crappy roadside motel. Very spacious, with loungers for TV, a small dining table, kitchenette, and a large bathroom. Beds were nice and comfortable. All reasonably priced.

I stayed here for almost three weeks in late 2023 and it was perfect for my needs. This is a very well-run motel. The hosts are professional, friendly, and very responsive to any requests. They obviously care about guest satisfaction and comfort. The room was very clean and quiet. There is a well-equipped kitchenette and a good-sized TV with many channels. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well the entire visit. The location is excellent because it is directly across the road from the Esplanade which is a fantastic urban park with natural bush, formal gardens and lots of walking paths and track, and also (for families) a large playground and wading pool for kids. There's a bus stop right at the gate and it's only a few minutes ride to The Square and the Plaza shopping center. I'm very happy to have chosen Harringtons for my stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
