Our room was very comfortable, spacious and clean with everything we needed. I went here during the off season and immediately felt out of my pay grade when I arrived. Staff are extremely courteous. The interior design is beautiful and Zen-oriented. The room was traditionally designed and big. Ureshino is an Onsen town, so I wasn't surprised that the hot springs here were the nicest I've ever been to. The hotel's public baths were very spacious and extremely relaxing. Due to low visitor numbers, I was also allowed entry to a private room for free each day of my stay, which I appreciate very much. But maybe the faucets should have some kind of temperature lock, since it's extremely easy to burn yourself with 80°C hot spring water if you're not careful. The food was also exceptional, with especially dinner being an exceptionally good and varied traditional teishoku with multiple courses. The surrounding area was relaxing to explore, as the town is small and very empty. The waterfalls nearby were certainly a highlight.

Very nice stay, clean and quiet room in this very unique old style building Comfortable beds, staff is adorable and well spoken in English Onsen is not in the hotel building but next to it, definitely worth you money to book it for 50 mins !
