Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. We were only there for one night. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, we would come back in a heartbeat. The traditional dinner in particular, but also the traditional breakfast, were some of the best we have ever eaten. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Value for money is very good, but don't expect a luxury hotel. The cleanliness was excellent.
