I Kuroishi, 33 kilometer fra Towadasjøen, ligger Tabinoyado Saikawa, som har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

I Matsushima, bare 10 kilometer fra Shiogama-helligdommen og 24 kilometer fra Sendai City Community Support Center ligger Matsushima Koumura. Very beautiful property with excellent owners who were very warm and friendly

I Nihommatsu, 10 kilometer fra Nihonmatsu stasjon, ligger mt. Inn(マウントイン）, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights for Drift Matsuri in November. We were blown away by how big our room was. The staff were so friendly, even if they didn't speak a lot of English, but made the effort to help you where they could. The room was clean and comfortable. Loved waking up to the view of the mountains in the distance.

I Koriyama, 17 kilometer fra Koriyama stasjon, ligger Eirakukan, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering og en restaurant. Very nice onsen hotel with fantastic service and very clean rooms and facilities. Food was delicious and traditional Japanese.

I Tendō, 30 kilometer fra Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg, ligger Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. The Breakfast is good enough as me and hubby both are vegetarian but the dinner are exceptional very well planned n delicious!! Defiantly will come back again!

Yuze Hotel ligger i Yuze Onsen i Kazuno. Dette 4-stjerners ryokanet har en fellesstue i tillegg til rom med klimaanlegg, gratis WiFi og eget bad. Location is good but no public transportation available. Both breakfast and dinner are included, lots of variety of food

I Aizuwakamatsu, 3,8 kilometer fra Iimori-fjellet, ligger Kutsurogijyuku Shintaki, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering og en restaurant. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Courteous staff and public bath was good.

Takasagoya Ryokan ligger i Zao Onsen. Dette 3-stjerners ryokanet har rom med klimaanlegg, felles bad og gratis WiFi. The breakfast and dinner is traditional Japanese and is excellent and value for money. The dinner was especially sumptuous and was more than expected. It had a small onsen and for the more adventurous you can also use on of the 3 public onsen that was only steps away from the front door. It's exceptionally close to the ski lift - easily walkable even with gear.

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Okawaso offers accommodation in Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. The staff were extremely friendly and very customer service oriented. The room and facilities were of extremely high quality - I felt as if I was in a 5 star hotel. The dinner was perfect. Hot springs are very pleasant.

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. Where to begin? The room was excellent in size and had a nice feeling to it. The onsen was close by. The staff was so kind and service minded. The whole experience with dinner and breakfast was exceptional, especially the staff member whom served us with excellent English. Just the whole experience was quite wonderful.
